What is the Coffee and a Classic book box?


Coffee and a Classic is a monthly book box subscription service! Each month we personally curate a book box including a classic book, something to sip on, and select or create additional bookish items based on a theme.

How much is shipping?


US shipping is Free!

Please see the monthly rates below for Canada and International rates:
Canada: starter $6.95, standard $13.95
International: starter $12.95, standard $25.95

When will I get my first box? 


That depends when you sign up! The cutoff date for each month’s boxes is the last day of the month prior. For example, if you sign up on January 31st, your first box will be the February box. If you sign up on February 1st, your first box will be the March box.

Can I receive a box sooner than I am scheduled to?


Of course! If we aren’t sold out of the boxes for the month prior, we can pull back your subscription to start a month sooner! We also post all of our leftover boxes on our Etsy store, so you can choose from those as well!

When will I be billed?


If you are signing up for a new subscription, you will be billed immediately for your first box. After that, you will be billed on the 15th of the month.

When are the boxes shipped?


We ship out the book boxes doing the second week of each month. If there is a significant change to this date for a particular month we will update the header on our website with the current shipping date.

Can I switch between genres each month?


Absolutely! The deadline for switches is the last day of the month prior. For example, any switches for the February box should be made by January 31st. A confirmation email of the genre switch is automatically sent to you. Please check to make that you receive the email confirming the genre switch was successfully applied to your account.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, or if you would like to request a genre switch after the deadline, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you!

Can I order just one box instead of a subscription?


Yes! When you get to checkout, you will see a box labelled "This is a gift". When you tick this box, "will not renew" will show up next to the item in your cart. Your subscription will expire automatically after the initial order has been fulfilled.

Can I buy one of your previous boxes? 


Absolutely! All of our leftover boxes are posted on our Etsy store. If you’re looking for a particular box and it’s not available on our Etsy store, then the box is sold out and is no longer available.

Do you repeat the books?


Each month’s books are newly selected and all of our subscribers receive the same book. We do repeat book selections occasionally if we feel enough time has passed that most of our subscribers have not received it and it was a fan favorite.

Are customs duties included in the price? 


No, any international boxes may be subject to customs duty charges.

What if I receive a broken or damaged product?


We do our best to prepare the boxes to withstand the stress of shipping, but things happen! Please contact us with photos of the broken item(s) and we will work with you to make it right!

Please keep in mind that some of our boxes do sell out, which means that replacements may not be available. If we are not able to send you a replacement of the exact item, we will allow you to choose between other items which are available. Replaced items will always be of equal or greater value than the item being replaced.

What is your return policy? 


In order to protect the safety of our subscribers, we do not allow returns or exchanges. Our boxes include perishable items and we want to ensure that our subscribers are always receiving consumable products directly from us and not second-hand items which may have been tampered with.

What is your cancellation policy?


You can cancel your subscription at any time! Please note that cancelling your subscription prevents it from renewing in the future, it does not cancel or refund any orders that went through prior to cancellation.
